Coldcard Urges Users to Move Funds Immediately as Security Threat Persists

Bitcoin hardware wallet maker Coldcard has issued an urgent notice telling users to move their funds immediately, pointing to a security threat it says is still ongoing. The company said users should first check the security advisory for their specific device model, then upgrade the device firmware and generate a fresh seed phrase before carefully transferring wallet balances. Coldcard said the situation should be treated as an emergency, and laid out the recommended sequence: migrate funds, upgrade hardware, create a new seed, and complete the transfer with attention. It also asked the broader community to help spread the word, with a particular focus on users who are rarely online and may not catch the update in time. The firm stated that the threat has not ended, and urged users to stay alert and take action as soon as possible.
